French dub is awful and uses AI
I was watching some previews from French Youtubers and the dubbing is just plain awful and there's blatant use of AI. If they use AI for the French dub then I suspect it'll be the same for German , Italian etc... can anyone who speaks these languages confirm that ?

It's a shame too because the French dub was quite good for the first game but here they just don't care, there was a video about it but it got taken down by Plaion (Warhorse's publisher). I asked Vavra about it on Twitter and never got an answer, seems they don't want this getting out.

if so i wouldn't be surprised. sadly some devs are gonna use AI nowadays, but it wasn't as y'know, open 'till BO6.
it sucks

It's worse than that, the video exposed the awful working conditions. They hired non-actors for it and didn't get any details, for instance they dubbed some dialogue and got told after that the character was supposed to be crazy. The whole dub is like that. It's weird too because the first game had a good French dub and this time they had way more budget but we get this ♥♥♥♥, and they hide it by taking down videos. Not a good look.

WH said in interviews the only dubbing they do in-house is the English, all others are out-sourced, even native Czech.

WH said in interviews the only dubbing they do in-house is the English, all others are out-sourced, even native Czech.

They did that with the first game and it was good, here they have more budget and it's significantly worse. They messed up big time and they're trying to hide it.

Jeez, that's a bit much.

Seriously, not to insult Francophones, but the game is by a Czech company and written for an English audience. Just play the fame in English, as the actors intended, with French subtitles.

See I would agree with you, it wasn't an issue for a big game like BG3 for exemple which only had the original voices. But as I said the first game had a good dub and the Francophile audience has grown attached to it. They're in for a bad surprise when they play KCD 2. Honestly I'd rather not have a dub at all if it's gonna be this botched.
