Well you could say that with almost any product you can buy. And for me personally, I don´t need to buy a Game with politcal agendas, so I vote with my wallet and to be honest I couldn´t care less If there is a KCD3 or not, there are so many great games out there especially from indie devs nowdays that don´t shove politcal standard down our throats.

In my books that means Warhorse does not need my money anymore and its fine, you can borrow games these days and play them for free.

The Games budget is 40 mil, very low for a game this size the first game had a budget of 36mil, so with the 40 mill budget + what they use in marketing they are already guaranteed to make profit.

Doesn't matter how good mechanically and technically your game is, once you lie, hide your content your game won't sell. Most of the ppl have principles and there are hundreds of good games releasing every year. Have you even see that Phantom Blade gameplay trailer? Doom? Crimson Desert? There is also Monster Hunter Wilds, new Mafia game, Wuchang, Khazan, Atomfall, Commandos Remake and many more. I was so excited about KCD2 but now even as a huge KCD1 fan, I won't give them a single penny. They are bunch of liars. I have many alternatives to play.

The thing you missing is the fact that even Dragon Age Veilguard hit #1 couple of times before releasing and was #3 for about 3 weeks. Still they only sold about 1.5 million copies across all platforms. You may have an idea about upcoming KCD2 failure now.

I think KCD is not a game for everyone anyway.
Most streamers i watched all started of by saying they never played it, they weren't really interested or they played it later.
I don't think it will be a failure but this will have an impact for such a game, it wasn't worth it. Losing your integrity over something so pointless and avoidable is never worth it.

Be real, the game will break even easily and it will be playable day one, the studio isn't burdened by bloat and Warhorse isn't CD Project Red yet.

Warhorse simply jumped the shark and whatever game they will create next will not be viewed through all the goodwill Vavra created through the first one, and all while clowning on studios who did exactly what he did just recently.

The way steam charts work I don't even think it's the refunds hitting that's causing the drop off.

They've 100% ♥♥♥♥♥♥ their reputation with a lot of people though. That's what's causing less people to purchase.
