Statistics on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
As the title implies, in this thread we will discuss statistics of the game.
We will both use them as a marker, but also predictions and so forth.

Sources will be from many different places, but we will also use steams own sources (and steamdb) for various ones.

We can start by talking about the statistics concerning preorder sales and then if its normal or not.

Game specific statistics (sales, wishlist, region of sales)

Steam global top wishlist + topseller rank: #10
Outstanding wishlists: 1.4m
Copies sold estimation by various analystic sites : 133k (avarage bid)
EU sales are above 50%, Chinese sales are around 20% and NA is around 12%
The predicted sales are around 400-900k sales (I think this will raise and be above)
Steamhub followers 133k

(It is important to note, that KC:D2 albeit being number #10 most sold atm, it is the secound most preordered title, with the new CivVII being number #8 overall)
It is normal for AA+ games like KC:D2 to be around this spectrum more than a week away from release and most likely, if it follows trend, will be 2nd or 1st place 3-4 days away from release)

This are from sites like Gamalytic, so take it lightly until we have more data.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance had a development budget of $35m ish.
It is fair to assume that this game will have atleast double that (thus why its an AA+ game)
Development of the game started in 2019

Sources: Steam, Gamalytic, Official tweets / homepage, steamdb, VGI.
Once we get more information we will link them here (feel free to add yourself)

Feel free to predict the actual steam concurrent on day one and the review score as well.
My personal guess will be 356k peak players and a 84% positive score.

So what do you think about these statistics and what are your predictions for the game? Do you think hype will go up? preorders (like normally) go wild once we are a few days away or do you think some of the controversy have made people halt on buying?

Have a wonderful day all and remember to be friendly towards eachother.

I thought WH is considered AAA now?? How is it determined.
KCD:1 when WH was dev was AA right?
Not surprised one bit, we're talking about GOTY 2025 after all

Indeed. It has shifted.
But this is normal, you will see ups and downs every day, until a few days before release where it will go in top5 and most likely top2 during last 2 days.

It will go up more and more when more streamers praise it

There are a few factors people use to define this.
The one I am using is overall budget (development+marketing) when a game is under 100m, then it is not an AAA game anymore (in my opinion) in this case, the game is most likley under 80m combined.

Games that were barely AAA (such as BG3) was 100m. A game such as Dragon Age: The Veilguard was 300m+, a game such as Cyberpunk 2077 was 250m. Starfield was 450m

I don´t think it will be GOTY on any of the large sites (there are over 250 GOTY awards)
But it will get praise. There are simply too many other more mainstream games.

new Elden Ring dlc will be goty 100%
if not, then its gta6 with the single mom protagonist

Expansions can´t win GOTY, as they are not new games, but well.. expansions.
GTA6 will win, due to it being a hyped console game, that just about any console player will buy most likely, its extremely popular with the large youth and young adult segment, but also the largest one, the middle aged.

The vast majority of times, a big Console centric Action Adventure wins GOTY awards with the 5 largest sites (ie. DICE, BAFTA, TGA, etc)

It is seldom that PC centric games wins, but BG3 was an exception, it is also the most winning game of all time (I doubt anyone will change that anytime soon)
KC:D2 might have a chance for some of the other awards and it might (note might) be lucky to get a nomination to GOTY some places.

This is atleast, if we use statistics.

I'm tired of Elden Ring to be fair

Most likely. Again statistics tell us, that preorders will start to really go in a few days before release, games are digital today, most people only buy a few days before or even on the day of release, by the last day most reviews (full ones) have been released as well.
