Tbh he was never based. When KCD1 released the wokies that attacked him proclaimed the game as based, people got interested, sales increased and Warhorse just ran with it and rode the wave.

Major funding for 1st part was from a Czech oligarch (forgot his name) who seems to be a based Christian oriented fella, and maybe he is the reason Henrys butthole remained intact as well.

I gotta admit, I was completely wrong on this. i actually bought into his whole shtick about being opposed to the whole far left infection into gaming and thought he was trustworthy. I thought the first game stayed incredibly true to history. But the evidence seems pretty clear that they sold out. Maybe not to a great extent, and maybe they were forced to do so by their new owners, but the fact remains that they did sell out and add in stuff to please precisely the very people who attacked them back when KCD was released. This is the first time that someone pretended for so long to be against the very thing he seems willing to push for. Usually their sort just admits that they want their propaganda in the game and then attacks gamers, but in Vavra's case, he acted like he was totally on our side and then suddenly switched when the info got leaked.
