Ending the topic on Musa
To begin with, no, it wouldn't make sense for a Malian man to be in Central Europe of all places. So I'll be quoting a previous reply of mine, and as to why Musa's character and even history is not plausible.

In the end, I believe this is the only true problem in the game. Arguing over an option really shouldn't be getting as out of hand as it has become. And I trust that Warhorse Studios will give players a great game, even if some ideas have been causing issues in their own community. Which they have partially betrayed, especially with the introduction of Musa.

Anyways, here's what I have to say. And stop bringing up Saint Maurice, since his ethnicity isn't entirely known. As the depictions of him as an African are a later artistic choice. Thank you-

"Not really, a good majority just don't want to lose the Medieval immersion due to a Malian man being in Central Europe.

As a history freak, the Spanish Kingdoms or the coastal cities of Italy would've been a much better choice for Musa to be in, or around. But that isn't where the game takes place.

Furthermore, Mali is still too far south compared to the more plausible traders of more closer countries. So, maybe if Musa was just a native of one of the Mediterranean lands, there would be no problem. And plus, this seems to be more realistic. So the immersion wouldn't be lost.

Also, remember Nicopolis?? C'mon, even the story of Sultan Bayezid and how Sigismund even met Musa in his court makes no sense. And Ottoman sentiment leading up to Nicopolis makes the whole story less plausible.

Also, on the topic of the Kingdom of Mali, it had been very rich during the times of Mansa Musa. But he had died in 1337. Whereas the game takes place in early 15th century. I just wanted to point this out so you understand that the famous Mansa Musa was long dead, and as far as I'm aware during this time period, 1403, it wasn't as rich as when Mansa Musa had initially left it."

(The person who I was replying to was saying that arguing against Musa was "racist" though it definitely isn't. The problem with Musa is how little effort was put into making his character)

One gay and one black guy is a must if you want to get nominated for awards, it wont stop me from playing the game however
Nobody ends topics on Steam forums. All we can do is walk away when we decide it's just not worth it anymore. Some wish people would just walk away. I'd rather people learn from each other, but wowzers... That division. Hard to even see the common ground.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting the game too. And I agree with the award thing aswell. But Musa's whole character has holes in it. And bringing this to light over an optional "problem" is important to me.

Eh, we had gay romance options in Mass Effect over a decade ago. That in itself isn't an issue. People have just forgotten what it's like to have a choice, so they immediately jump to extremes. Everyone is so used to jumping to extremes and have been since 2017.

Yep, and these games were woke too. Good stories, yes, but still a lot of wokeness, Bioware were one of the pioneers of that stuff.

That´s some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if ever i heard it.
You probably got some good examples for that i guess...

Romance options don´t count as being woke in a game that let´s you choose your Gender, it´s simply the easiest option to program it. Which just makes sense.

And don´t even think about bringing up Joker, the man is Merit incarnate, literally the best for the Job.

So instead of standing your ground you bend and drop your pants... "must consume, must consume again"
The awards wont change if devs & players bend like little :redacted:

Yes, it does make sense. Mali was an empire built on trade. They had scholars in their university who went north to the universities of North Africa. It took about a month and a half to two months to get from Timbuktu to Tripolitania, Tunis or Fez. It was a common trek. From there, across to Sicily and then to Trieste or the trade cities of southern Greece. The former was controlled by the Hapsburgs, the latter by the Ottomans.
Muslim medicine was far superior at the time, the Europeans were still using Galen's theories. Federico II hired Muslims in large numbers, including scholars in his court.
From Trieste, it is a short trip along a very common trade route to Vienna, only 200 miles from the Adriatic coast. Anywhere else on the Adriatic coast would also make sense, as the Ottomans, Venetians, Hapsburgs and Bohemians were constantly trying to take control of the area; there had been major sieges and campaigns just a few years before this game.

People seem to think that Bohemia is a long way away from the sea. It isn't, it is one major trade route away from a major trade hub on the Adriatic. A route that has been in use since the early Roman Empire.

Musa and the gay romance option is pure virtue signaling to appease the leftist snowflakes. Take those out, and this is one of the best games I've seen in a REALLY long time. Hopefully someone will figure out how to mod the gay option out and somehow alter Musa to be less insufferable.

Yep...gay fascists much prefer to hide in the closet.
Not necessarily, fascism and much of the far-right has always been chock full of homoerotic undertones. They are only in the closet in the sense that they claim to be against homosexuality, but in their symbols and rituals they are quite gayer than they care to admit.

By "snowflakes" you mean the people throwing a hissy fit about a black character and a gay romance option in a make-believe video game, right?

If there was an option for Henry to mock Hans for being gay or to stand up to Musa when he's mocking Europeans you would literally be in tears. We all remember in 2018 all it took for the outrage mob to form against KCD1 was it having no people of color. That was enough for people to try to cancel the game. We all remember. Don't act like it didn't happen.
Musa definitely doesn't belong in medieval Bohemia.
blahblahblah

Morgan Freeman in Robin Hood

blahblahblah

Now cry yourself to sleep
