Haha so much cope but I’ll be here to see your excuses when it does big numbers which is what all current indicators and trends are suggesting
It didn’t sell well at all for a Triple A title from a popular franchise. Stellar blade did better numbers in the same time frame as Veilguard at 1/4 the budget
Exactly like KCD2 will be, but that's because people are hyper cautious at this point about identity politics, and KCD2 was supposed to be free from it all.
The list of failures on the other hand where the controversy destroyed them because the games were also bad is endless however and we all know what they are, vocal minority indeed.
KCD2 is free of all that what you have here is the inevitable split of extremists from the rest of the pack as they were just riding the wave of their dislike of their common enemy, the woke. Problem is anti woke never meant anti gay or anti minority so now where there are examples where those things are included and not just ham fisted to check boxes the extremism shows its true colors.
Number 10 on the most whished list games now.
When was that ever true? We heard it from andromeda fans, concord fans, heard it from outlaws fans, heard it from Veilguard fans, in the end they all flopped. I mean I’m not wishing KCD2 to fail, but when was it ever true that controversial games that alienated its core fans ever did good?
Agree with your reasoning just not your conclusion, especially with this "so now where there are examples where those things are included and not just ham fisted the extremism shows its true colors"
I actually think people have such a distaste for identity politics within escapist entertainment now they have been been taught to be extremist even when its innocuous. Companies have been attacking their fans for being bigoted forever after all for simply disagreeing with it.
Like for me one of my favorite games of all time has a female protagonist and seeing 95% of them today deliberately come out with one has made me absolutely despise seeing them, i can't help thinking its for pandering reasons, mind you i just don't play the game rather than rage about it but you can extrapolate that on to gamers as a whole for sure.
Basically once people see a gay character or whatever its immediately "WOKE!" and it shouldn't be like that you are right but it is, and i don't blame gamers at all for becoming this way it wasn't the gamers that started this divisive social activism and culture war within gaming as a whole.
Civ and Fifa for sure since those are casual appeal games and aren't really even playing for remotely the same market
