KCD1 players who will not buy KCD2
I guess Warhorse think all KCD1 players will buy KCD2 so they are safe but I'm pretty sure there is a massive number of KCD1 players passing KCD2 due to numerous issues going on with KCD2.

My profile is open to public, you can see KCD1 is one of few games I've put about 100 hours. Yes KCD1 was always an underrated gem, almost the only good game with Medieval Bohemian setting and immersion level was amazing but at the end of the day it's not worth the principles. Vavra's childish attitude, the transparency about DEI agenda killed my all hype for the sequel. I'm also disappointed with Sir Tobi, Hans Capon's VA Luke and some other guys too. They all hid what was going on from the players and pushed the PR only.

I was so ready to get the gold edition but now I'm passing KCD2 for good.

You have a hard time with history in a game that’s fictional being rewritten? So something that didn’t actually occur in history is somehow being rewritten. /smh
KCD 1 was historically quite accurate.

Hahaha you should probably take a history lesson or two

I really enjoyed KCD1, pre-ordered the Gold edition for KCD2, and had been playing through KCD1 again intending to switch straight to KCD2 when the drama started. After watching how it unfolded and Vavra's antics, I cancelled my pre-order. Now it's at the back of a queue of other games, like play throughs of WH: Rogue Trader, RDR2, and another dive into Command: MO.

When I get back to KCD2 I'll see what the state of the game is, find out what it's really like, see if there's mods, and decide if I'm interested. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, but if I do it won't be until there's a steep discount and a bunch of research.

Snowflake argument. I am Czech, living in Bohemia, studying our history with passion most of my life, including University. No point talking to liars like you anymore.

Cool story bro, you’re going to be playing a lot of old games if a black guy in one is scary to you.

I got KC:D 1 and loved it. I'll be giving KC:D 2 a wide berth.
Vague answers to fair questions and a feeling of bait & switch got me off the hype train.

I really enjoyed KCD1, mainly because of its historical accuracy and the fact that it wasn’t influenced by modern DEI trends. However, I have to agree with others here—I’ll be skipping KCD2 because of its focus on DEI. Many of us are truly fed up with this kind of content, and it’s time to start voting with our wallets by not supporting products we don’t align with.
How it is focused dei???? I think it is still focused to be medieval simumation drama and yes even medieval had closet gays and if you meet 1 dark guy in game it is still pretty historicsl accurate because thare were merchats and wars so tell me how this is dei focused????

So funny to see people believing Steam forum jockeys are an indication of a “massive number” of people. Also funny how the game is like #3 in sales for all new/upcoming releases

It's fourth, after Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Civ VII, and Monster Hunter Wilds, if you look at pre-order titles from now until the end of February. (Although MHW barely makes it into February) Even that's not very impressive though, because there's not that much else out there. KCD2 is beating known titles Like a Dragon, Sniper Elite, and Space Engineers 2 on pre-orders, but everything else is pretty niche or little indie titles.

KCD1 sold 8 million copies. It's not a small, obscure, title.

That's a pretty weak dig, there are a lot of fantastic games out there which released prior to 2024. :)
