Why are people upset by this?

Political activists are upset, not all people.

A small detail though, political activists are upset because some players might take the option to play G/B Henry.
You know political activists, they are small dictators who want to take the freedom away.

Then there are other political activists upset because there is no option to play T+ Henry though.

1. KCD2 is not the first game.
2. You did not play KCD1.
3. It may be straight if you want him to be as romance is optional. Otherwise he is asexual.
4. No I don't care if CM's Henry was straight or something else. That was CM's game, CM's Henry, not mine.
5. KCD2 is RPG. With choices and consequences.

There's no reason to change what seemed to be established.

I don't want characters to suddenly be gay. That's not something I've ever experienced. I've been gay from the start. I didn't just decide it on a whim. The handling of instant LGBTQ seems careless and insincere.

Again, there is no T+ option in KCD2.
In other words, there is no LGBTQ. G and B yes. Not other letters when it comes to Henry.

Because Henry is straight. Anyone that played KCD1 knows this, he has shown nothing but interest in women.
Now we have people honestly making threads such "Why are people upset?", c'mon, you know why people are upset. Let's not make such obvious troll threads.
Henry is not a custom character, this is not his first game, this is obvious retcon.

Warhorse lied, lied to players so close to launch date, when it turned out they making game aligned to the "message", same thing that ruined so many games. They pulling Veilguard from all i see. But Veilguard was at least honest about it, they didn't lie about what they are doing or changing. That's the only positive thing i will say about that game.

in a small village where its normalised. Many many times in history we see stories of people who clearly didn't feel that "normal" really fit to them but they are not documentated as acting upon their true feelings.

To any of the bigots who will not be buying the game because of this stupid reason only idiots would care about: I will be buying the game twice. once for myself and once for you, yes you personally. Your boycott-of-baffoonery is going to be personally nullified because i bought the game a second time on your behalf. Because i know why they are doing what they are doing. Why they lied. And why they got angry when people found out about them lying to us.
It's same thing i've seen in all "modern" failures in past few years, changes, retcons.

If it doesn't matter, then it doesn't need to be there the way it is.
