How would my system run KCD2 with an ultrawide1440p monitor? I'm concerned about my CPU (10700KF, RTX 3080)
How will my system run KCD 2? I'm concerned about my CPU.

I have an Alienware Aurora R11 desktop with:

CPU: 10th Generation Intel Core i7 10700KF
GPU: RTX 3080 10GB
RAM 32 GB
Storage: 1TB m.2 NVMe SSD / 1TB SATA SSD / 2TB 7200RPM HDD

Monitor's Native Resolution: 3440x1440

I'm considering upgrading my GPU to the new RTX 5070 but a new CPU will pretty much need to wait for my next new rig. I suppose I could upgrade to a 10900KF but would that make a significant difference?

What about overclocking? I do have an unlocked CPU and Alienware Command Center will, I think, pretty much do it automatically but I've never experimented with overclocking before.

You are fine. 3080 is still a great card. Good CPU good Ram and most importantly NVMe drive.

You might be surprised how many try to play games on HDD spinners.

youd be able to run it on high but not ultra

I bet it will run ultra on cryengine. 3080 and 10th gen is still powerful gaming machine.
I think you'll be fine. I don't know anything about Intel CPUs but assuming that yours is worthy of the 3080 that you're pairing with it, it's good.

I have a AMD 7950x and a 12GB 3080 and KCD runs amazing. Obviously new game, increased graphics and load, but from the way they've been talking, KCDII sounds like it's going to be better optimized. My prediction is that it's going to be about as hard on your computer as the last game, maybe a bit more.

If your computer plays KCD well, I bet you'll be fine with KCDII
60 fps+ most likely on medium/high tweaked settings.. but nobody will know until the game is out and all systems are different.. But I would be surprised if you would not get a good experience.

If you have to upgrade your GPU don´t go 5070... its only 12gb vram, go for the 16gb with a 5070ti (its almost same price)
Albeit personally I see no reason why you should upgrade yet, if things still run well.

In many ways, you might as well skip another generation and then get a new CPU (well everything, since you need new MB. PSU etc anyway) instead.
Start to save up now.
