Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Is that a two handed weapon used by a horseman for the pre-order picture?
The black clad knight whose horse has black horse housing also has what appears to be a double handed pole axe?? It's not too clear in the picture because you cannot see the other end of it.

One of the things that impressed me the most about the original was the historical accuracy. I hope number 2 is not heading towards fantasy perhaps because it has run out of things to give the player access to. I don't think the original game had lances though.

Actually it had polearms - they weren't storable in the inventory though. You could loot them from enemies and use them in combat.

RE about two-handed weapons in KCD 2 / in general: I'm curious about that as well. In the OG they'd had no "real" usage IMHO as Henry most of the time would loose too much mobility and for most of his fights they simply would've been the wrong type of weapon. In other words - I do hope we don't get this powerfantasy of Henry e.g. wielding a two-handed sword as his "main weapon". As cool as it is (it is!) - it has no place in this game IMHO :lunar2019grinningpig:

I do seem to remember being able to wield a two handed weapon on horseback in kcd1 now that I think about it?? Could just be a small oversight.

I had hoped they would improve combat in #2. Bring me war of the roses combat with complete freedom and no combo street fighter moves. You make up your own combos through physical mouse movements.
The spike at the top looks a bit too long for an axe, so it looks more like a halberd to me which Henry could use while riding.

It's a polearm.
There is a significant likelyhood of that picture just being a picture, trying to cram as much of the gear onto a single frame as possible.
Fingers crossed then. Because it's possible but highly unlikely that two handed weapons that would be hard to wield in one hand would be used on horseback.

That argument fails because of lances. And also physics.
Fighting on horseback has little to do with skill. There is no finesse, only physics.

KCD did not have proper two-handedweapons. None you could equip at least, you could only find them in the world and carry them around.
