Actually it had polearms - they weren't storable in the inventory though. You could loot them from enemies and use them in combat.

RE about two-handed weapons in KCD 2 / in general: I'm curious about that as well. In the OG they'd had no "real" usage IMHO as Henry most of the time would loose too much mobility and for most of his fights they simply would've been the wrong type of weapon. In other words - I do hope we don't get this powerfantasy of Henry e.g. wielding a two-handed sword as his "main weapon". As cool as it is (it is!) - it has no place in this game IMHO
I had hoped they would improve combat in #2. Bring me war of the roses combat with complete freedom and no combo street fighter moves. You make up your own combos through physical mouse movements.
There is a significant likelyhood of that picture just being a picture, trying to cram as much of the gear onto a single frame as possible.
Fighting on horseback has little to do with skill. There is no finesse, only physics.
KCD did not have proper two-handedweapons. None you could equip at least, you could only find them in the world and carry them around.
