Christianity in KCD 2?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if the devs, mods or anybody else in the community would be willing to comment on the role of Christianity in the game. I haven't really seen any promotional material discussing this topic, but I am really interested as to how the game will handle it. The first game's treatment was excellent imo, with christian greetings, father godwin, the monastery, and the role of heretics all combining to create a fairly well-rounded portrayal of the role of religion in the late middle ages. So the question is: can we expect more of this stuff in the second game?

Yeah, there's actually a "prayer" mechanic in-game used to boost Henry's stats temporarily, and penitent mechanics for improving Henry's reputation. I think it's safe to say Christianity will have pretty big role in the game, not only as ambiance, but actual gameplay.

I'm actually quite excited to see the churches in KCD 2, seeing them, the acc building, the priest, the artwork inside. Was always very fun to go in and see how different each one was

Christianity played a crucial role in Bohemia during this time. The game is set just a few years before the Hussite Wars, a conflict between the Hussites and the Catholic forces of Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund, the Papacy, and European monarchs, as well as different Hussite factions. This period was also marked by the Papal Schism, which further divided the Church and fueled religious tensions.
In the first game, you can deliver a sermon inspired by the ideas of Jan Hus. It also highlights how many educated people were clergy, as many nobles couldn’t read or write. It also touches on topics like the inquisition, monastic life, rural priests' poverty, heretics, and witchcraft, giving a glimpse into the religious and social struggles of the time. It was very well done.

ok based
Christianity? Where? First game does not even have the Calendar, which is one of the most basic sacred attributes of ANY Tradition. The Reality without the Calendar is the same as a consumer society without supermarkers. It takes to be Philosophically castrated to not include the Calendar in the game with 'M' feature. They obviously know nothing outside of 20th century, which they dress into platemail, so that 20th century gangsters and politicans would look "medievalish", while the setting itself has nothing to do with any of previous epoch. The same can be said about any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bestselling novels and their adaptations everybody has probably heard about or read/played. The most honor I can show to these writers is the same honor the Knight showed to profane historian in Monty Python.

Just add combat stimulation mode where a player could pick stats and enemies and just practice/stimulate swordfighting without having to grind for items and skills and having to download alien mods to bypass npcs not returning bugs, because otherwise you have nothing to offer - you story and setting are bs. Also, suggest your designer/artist/writer/whoever profane is behind his graphomania to learn from Darklands and Pentiment, or rather take a course in specific branches of Modern Philosophy.

First, learn some grammar.

Second - go outside and touch some grass. You're a lunatic who obviously never played the game. What in the blazes does the Christian or liturgical calendar have to do with the story of Henry ? You might've noticed that the seasons don't change - clue in. The various feast days have nothing whatsoever to do with the story.

The Cumans weren't Muslim. They actually converted to Christianity, although that was rather suspect at best.
