I ran into the problem where I spoke to William the minstrel and the charcoal-burner. I failed both speech checks and because of that they don't want to talk to me anymore.
Now I cannot move further through the quest. Does someone have any idea to fix this or anyone else ran into this problem?

it limits your options, but should not hardlock the quest, after your investigation (wheter successful or not) you talk to Limir (and Katherine) and decide together how to proceed. You can also finish the quest blaming someone innocent.

it limits your options, but should not hardlock the quest, after your investigation (wheter successful or not) you talk to Limir (and Katherine) and decide together how to proceed. You can also finish the quest blaming someone innocent.

That's the thing. I have spoken to Lumir and Katherine and nothing happens. Katherine said she would go to Lumir but she never went. So I am quite confused.

I think the quest is kinda buggy. I passed everything expect the William speech check and now it won’t let me suspect the von grolles. It gets to it in the dialogue but when I select my suspicion it boots me out of the scene, and still shows the quest. So similar issue with same quest.

I even robbed their entire house beforehand to see if there was a quest item already their you could rob to just fast track it and it doesn’t seem like it. I could be wrong though.

I even didn't get too that point of having a conversation together with Katherina and Lumir too choose the suspect. I did speak to both characters and even let a few days pass but without luck. I tried robbing Von Grolles but its quest locked to those dialogues it seems like.
I have tried a bit of everything to try and fix it but without any luck. I hope they will be able to fix it.

Just go back to a previously saved point before you took the quest.
