Pretty odd, would be the simplest weapon to implement.
you could just remove the little spike from the billhook and make the blade a little wider, jobs done.

i guess plain spears would not be really considered viable weapons of war anymore in the late middle ages..., they would be used for hunting boar tho...

you kinda already do that with polearms, stab attacks are really good and super fast.
And despite what a lot of games teach us, you can actually slash with a spear, its really just a short-sword blade on the end of a long stick.
It'd be a Pike, if you cant slash with it, as those things are like 4 meters long.

true, they did become less popular with the invention of polearms, but they were still used make no mistake. To an extent we still use spears today in the modern age with Bayonets, that has got the exact same use. Spears have always been the pinnacle of weaponry.
