Kuttenburg tournament glitch

Anyone else having trouble with the Kuttenburg tournament? I've tried to make it though 7 times now and I keep getting soft locked out. My opponent won't show up, or I'll get stuck in the arena after a fight. Another time 2 other fighters froze and would t move. I even had a guard approach me and order me to put my weapon away in the middle of a duel. WTF is happening here. Anyone know a fix for this?

Its effecting alot of people, that part of the game is unplayable for me.

Didnt have problems at all. After each duel you leave the arena to sit and time skip 3 hours. Finished all three disciplines.

Get some save potions before the tournament , save after each round. Sometimes waiting one hour get the opponent in the ring.

i hade the problem were my last enemy wont show up.
i could fix it by leaving the game. after the reload he walked in the arena and i could finish the quest. didnt have to redo anything.

I have tried 3 times and it glitched each time. So I stole the winnings!

Beim Kuttenburg-Turnier habe ich das Problem, dass ich zwar teilnehmen kann und mein Charakter die erforderlichen Waffen und Ausrüstungen erhält, diese jedoch nicht automatisch ausgerüstet werden – weder vor noch beim Start des Turniers. Das war bereits am Anfang, als ich gegen Menhard kämpfen sollte: Zwar hatte ich das Schwert, aber es wurde nicht zum Turnier ausgerüstet. Hat noch jemand dieses Problem oder weiß, woran es liegen könnte?

Try save, close and start game again. NPC got stuck during their duel. Also waited for long time opponent. For me it fixed restarting game or loading save file.
Shame that for me important part of game is very bugged. I enjoyed tournament in KDC1. Great for leveling too. Simpler and better.

It’s bugged it cheats AI is ridiculous. I’ve gotten guard spawns at red corner. And getting no show after manually waiting for an opponent to show up. Idk 1st map was smooth and clean for the most part. This 2nd map is assss backwards.

I thought I was screwed but here's how I got it to work:

Use the Wait thingy, let it run for about a second, then cancel. It usually fixes the stuck NPC's, though there's also some other weirdness like fighting a sword and shield user with a longsword.

So, nothing happening? Just wait a sec, literally.

This seems to be the thing that works. Another glitch I'm having that I didn't expand on is that if I wait in the arena after a victory for him to announce Henry's name, the game thinks another round started and won't let me leave the arena until the announcer disqualifies me for refusing to leave the arena. They only workaround I found for that is to Sprint for the exit the moment you win both duels

It's kind of disappointing given how good the game is. I saw CohhCarnage give a review saying that it's better than Red Dead 2. That phrase has become a joke between my wife and I, whenever the game has some egregious bug like in the tournament, floating rocks, places where you can see through the map and off into the white abyss below the ground, icons disappearing from doors so they can't be opened ect... "Better than Red Dead"

I have witnessed why this tournament is bugged, the first set of duels are with sword and shield and that always works fine, its when the tourney moves on to long swords is where the problem is, if you watch your opponent go over to the blacksmith there to change their gear, they just stand there and nothing happens, so the npc just stands there at the front of the blacksmith tent not being able to swap gear which is why no opponents show up, if you wait that out he will eventually come back over and fight without changing gear, hence fighting a sword and shield vs longsword...etc.

This game is super buggy and I really wish they would fix it.
