Heavy Armor vs Light Armour?
According to the game and literally all the google searches ive done, your speed and the amount of stamina combat actions use is affected by the weight of the Armour you have. I dont know why I became so obsessive over this but I tested it with alot of armour and with no armour. Your movement speed definitely does go up but it seems to have no affect on the amount of stamina you use per swing or the time it takes for stamina to recharge, I timed it the best I could and it all came out the same. Am I missing something here?

Heavy armor for combat, light armor for stealth is a good rule of thumb. i wouldn't stress out about it too much

Well, get hit once with light armour and you are screwed really

Combat speed is next to non-existent so whenever you fight, wear plate - best option

THIS. I wear plate for every fight. UNLESS I am going stealthily. Then I am in for a fight for mu life because I can be 2 hit to death. I played 80% of game in full plate and managed my stamina fine.
Your obsession should be on getting the best plate you can as fast as you can. You ahve 3 gear slots so use them, 1 armor 1 Stealth and 1 for charisma. (talking) Basically there is no reason not to use full plate.

It is less important later in game as you are just skilled to sh1t and can deal more then you take. Also do black smithing, get to the point where you can make tier 4 weapons. I am 1 hitting people right now.
Get the perk that makes armor weigh 20% less so you can be more fluid in combat. Save light armor for sneaking/hunting.
