lol... for me, NPCs complain about my horse being an old nag not even worth 5 grochen.
I'm replaying the first game after finishing the second and I am flabbergasted at how much better the weather looks. Rain, lightning, and the reflective effect on plants in the first game just looks SO much better.
Oh and forget about Nighthawk in rain too. It's like having giant hailstones on screen.
Bad rain is bad, doesn't even wash your armour off.
good news - Devs acknowledged that rain is a complete and utter trash and said it will be fixed. When? who knows. Hopefully in the next best big update
But the way they apply it is a bit ugly for sure, seems like they have 2 sheets of animated textures in the players face when they should have a multitude of smaller segments simulating it, and possibly particle effect for closer up area around Henry.
Was already trash in KCD1 - makes you go snowblind
I really love Warhorse for what they gave us but rain is really right out of the privvy :D - and the Blacksmith sent us there hahaha
I also skip time or save and reload to bypass the "obvious tiled texture blocks that are supposed to evoke falling water" mistakenly used for rain.
I was impressed the first time I encountered a visually striking (pun intended) bolt of lightning out in the wild, but felt immediate disappointment when the rain started to drop and my poor Nighthawk-potioned eyes could see it too clearly.
I was then further disappointed to find out just how frequently it rains...
