A never ending duel?
So, while traveling had a random encounter. Some knight, resorting to attempted robbery. Well talked him down, decided to help him. Found out he lost all his kit in a duel with some lord in sigismunds camp. went and spoke to said mans. Mans wants to duel. Sure that's fine, I've won two kuttenburg tournaments henry is ready. First fight is a fight with polearms. Which henry has only used during the defense of Nebakov. Get stuck in a never ending duel with this guy with polearms because both of ours wind up broken. Can't change weapons, can't surrender. The constant back and forth of block and riposte has both our weapons end up breaking and doing no damage especially when taking into account both of us are equipped in plate armor head to toe. We dueled with broken polearms for like 5 in game hours the first time I attempted this fight lol

polearm v polearm is kinda janky.
but he is a very skilled warrior with very high stats.
so it goes to reason he'd be hard to fight.

Yeh it does, though when the weapons degrade to the point where you're beating each other in full plate armor with sticks maybe the duel should progress to the next stage with the first considered a draw? Because he can't do any damage to me, and I can't get any on him. (I got around this issue by just knocking him out early morning as he was eating and stealing what I needed from him) but I did want to go the dueling route. Henry, in swords in my campaign is VERY high level and its just. polearms that he isn't lol
If you can reload to a point before the fight, apply some Bane potion to your polearm. It makes the fight go fast

Yeah, this was my experience with the fight too. Ended up just fighting him barehanded and punching him.
You only need about 10 in polearm to win that fight comfotably. He doesn't block as much then.

Drop a load of money on Dry Devil training to speed it up.

He's a knight, so doesn't care much for polearm training. Peasant weapon.

Take the perk that makes polearms last longer too.
Same experience here but it worked. Just use some potions to boost your strength and to minimize health loss.
Also. Apparently knocking him out and stealing what I needed from him is the wrong choice because suddenly the main quest wants me to go to the camp, and I have a 190k bounty lol
*yikes*
