Is it possible to reforge a tier 4 variant of your fathers sword?
i been trying over and over constantly getting 3's, is 4 not possible for it?

Yes you can. But no spoilers, you have to hold onto the sword until it’s no longer a quest item (has the yellow star behind it).

imho you can reforge it to tier 4 after its renamed to Henrys Sword at the End. i tried to reforge Radzig Blade with 30 Smithing and it never got t4 meanwhile i have tons of other Weapons tier 4 so propably no skill issue lol.

yeah, just did it perfectly for once without henry whining, and still... a tier 3..
I got it, but you only get one shot and I had to reload a few times. Use a strong or Henry'ssmithing potion and use the apron and gloves you get at the begging. They give a hidden boost.

t3 is enough, it doesn't matter if you have t4 or 3... the sword is still the best in game.

the boost isn't hidden actually, it buffs your main stat temporarily (i would assume that it is a bug and that it should show up as a buff but doesn't) so unless they make it so that you can go over 30 or has an additional hidden boost other than the fact that it boosts the crafting main stat, then no, they won't help

You can't craft a tier 4 Radzig's.

Radzig's sword cannot be reforged up to lv 4. Tried 30 times, then started checking manuals (pity I didn't go opposite way, I'd save lots of time and for certain I wouldn't start shouting really lots of foul words). You can reforge it into lev 4 stats, but it's still lv 3 and once you equip it, it's stats instantly drop down to lv 3.

Only after it gets renamed to Henry's Sword in the main story.
I crafted it at level 4 today in my 2nd attempt, with 26 craftmanship, no potions, no blacksmith's apron.

i beg to differ, i made a sword that outdoes it called the dueling long sword at tier 4. but its fine, i accepted not getting it tier 4 for now
i myself prefer the One Handed Sir Valentines Sword over the Longswords its faster and at t4 packs a good punch ^^

I'm level 30 crafting, every weapon I create is a level 4 but I can never get Radzig's to level 4.

so if i already reforged it.. its not possible im guessing
The only way is with mods that add the t4 variant recipe to the game.
