Sound problem: anything that is behind Henry has almost no Sound volume (especially dialogue)

Just Started playing and love it, but i have a sound problem.

i'm running a simple two speaker setup, but game seems to behave as if i have a third speaker at the back... whatever is in front of me is at 100% sound, whatever is at the side is a bit lower left or right, but as the sound source goes to the back of Henry's head in the game world, the sound source turns down to 0%. This is especially noticeable with characters dialog when not in cut scenes since sometimes i'm not facing them directly (like when making potion for the first time and the old lady is behind me talking, can't barely hear her).

i have to look at the characters that are talking with me in the game world to hear the dialog.

I though i had windows setup to surround sound or something like that, but i checked and no, windows has the normal two speaker setup (also, just finished kingdom come 1 today and i did not have this issue there)

Anyone else have this issue ?

There are occasional sound-related issues, I find, though not as frequent as you describe. (I've had people speaking right in front of me and to me and be completely muted.)

update: when using speakers issue is permanent for me and very annoying since i can't hear anything from the back of Handy's head (the sides also lower in volume very much compared to the front).... but i found a work around for the issue for now.... i have to use headphones and then the sound is good.

by the way, if devs read this, i have a B650 AORUS ELITE AX and i'm running windows 11.

I've noticed issues when I'm running stereo like my headphones. But I have a 5.1 speaker system and that seems to work. Someone else mentioned adding the following settings to the config file but Headphones doesn't seem to fix it for my headphones. Going to try 2 for Stereo next.
