Hotfix: Laggy Grass
After the recent hotfix on Feb. 20th, the grass is laggy. Alt+Tab to another screen and the issue goes away. Alt+Tab back to the game and the issue returns.

Any ideas of the cause or how to fix?

Been noticing this as well, no known fix at this time
There is still fps drop when you focus on certain beds for sleep.

For example in mines.
I just encountered this bug - its game breaking for me .

Me too, it's was fine until I started playing this evening, it's really jarring. Games running well over 130 FPS and the jerky grass/herbs is ghastly.
+1 for laggy grass. Really jarring.
Just use "e_MergedMeshesInitialSimulationWH = 0" in console or .cfg and will fix it. And "e_svoTI_AsyncCompute = 1" for extra fps.

It could be tied to the savefile since it disappears when loading older savegames

The issue does not seem fps related. The game is smooth over 100, only the foliage is stuttering.

This fixes the issue for me, thank you. Now running around 150 avg and have smooth grass and herbs again, happy Henry here.

Ok, let me be more specific, this command "e_MergedMeshesInitialSimulationWH = 0" will fix the laggy grass and will be smooth. This command "e_svoTI_AsyncCompute = 1" will enable Async Compute for GPU, in most of the cases it will give you extra 10-20% FPS.
