Why I stopped playing (KCD I, II)
It's not permanent stoppage but more like suspension. The skill growth is distributed unevenly throughout the main story. You become OP too fast too soon. My KCD I is suspended at some point in the game where I am one shottng every bandit and guard. Same thing is prevalent in KCD II. By the time I am in Kuttenberge I have so much arsenal and skills than fighting main boss, competing in tournament, killing guards and bandits becomes way too easy. I lose interest in doing anything. Meanwhile souls RPG and other RPG have quite a better progression system; one which requires player enough freedom to explore open world but also restrict access to higher skills through main bosses or game points. In KCD you can just buy heavy crossbow at some shop and win or smith the hardest hitting sword (after stealing blueprint from nearby blacksmith) and butter slice enemies. I hope the developer see this post and give attention coz I can't continue playing and I'm sure many feel the same.

They do, this is what hardcore mode is for. I already downloaded tons of mods from nexusmods to not have to wait for it. I think we are a minority, ppl who need challenge troughout a game and stop when theres none.

It's so bad that you can defeat a fully armored enemy in two hits... with a SWORD at the second act. It's like you're hitting them with a mace, except you can also masterstrike. Strenght and damage scaling are way off in KCD2.

I'm hoping Hardcore mode fixes it. At least the (negative) Numbskull perk, which decreases XP gain, should prevent me from getting strong too fast. But if that's not enough, we have to hope that Hardcore more also increases the effectiveness of enemy armor. Otherwise, I'll also need a mod for my second playthrough, with Hardcore mode on.

That is the reason I never stole anything. I dont even loot bandit armor when I saw the rice on them.

How I see this, not because you can use those mecanics you have to use it. Make the game difficult for yourself.

it's damage scaling that kills it. You shouldn't be able to one or two shot a fully armored knight with a sword. You can get any tier 3 sword and do that (don't even need to craft your own tier 4)

That is true. I one shot pretty much everyone with my sword. That why I switch for a wooden polearm (Bo).
hardcore elements that we had in the first were removed even taking away the ui bars and stuff, id like to see them come back for sure.

They are adding Hardcore mode this spring. There's already an ongoing closed beta test.
Come back with this whining when you have actually learned combination attacks and not just been using the cheap tricks to defeat dumb AI.

Enemies arent allowed to just sneak up on you and shoot you in the head to start a fight and its wild you would even complain about being able to do that to enemies with zero repercussions.

I hope the developers see your post and laugh at someone who doesnt want to play their game telling them how to make their game.
It´s all up to you. You don´t have to have the very best equipment and you aren´t forced to use op potions either in case you did.

Just like in souls games you can make challenge runs by delibrately not leveling certain skills or attributes or by deliberately not using the very best equipment.

Combos? they are useless. Against lower tier enemies they are an overkill, against high tier, you can't do the whole combination as they will parry, dodge or master strike you. Combos were useless in game 1 and they are still useless in game 2.

Yeahh.. game is too easy.. but deva not change this >> you know WHY >?>? Beacuse this days younger generation evrything in life like to be >> EASY STATUS << so games for this generation is "easy" too... You got this same in Cyberpunk when changes come to 2.0, ACCTUAL GENERATION KIDS TRULLY NOT REALLY PLAYING GAMES >> THIS KIDS 16-25 YEARS GOIN TO YOUTUBE, TWITCH , SOCIAL MEDIA AND DOING THIS SAME things, THAT OTHER PEOPLE SHOW HIM TO DO.... SO WHEN SOMEONE NOT RELLY PLAYING GAME.. ONLY COPY + PASTE SOMEONE WORK >>> DEVA NEED GIVE HIM A "EASY MODE" TO TAKE THIS PEOPLE OR PARENTS >>> CASH..... IT IS SAD , BUT THIS IS HOW ACCTUALY THIS WORKS... KIDS THIS DAYS IS OUT DATED IN STUDY, SCHOOLS, WORK, REAL REALATIONSHIP ..... ITS FCK SAD WE HAVE THIS KIND OF GAMMING...THIS DAYS//
EFFECT IS LIKE THIS >> KID GOING GAME FOR 20-25 H WHEN 18H IS COPY GAMEPLAY AND 6H REAL GAMEPLAY OF GAME THIS KIDS TAKE... IN THIS SAME WAY I GOT 190 H, AND I OPENED KUTTERBERG MAP... BUT I PLAYING GAME.. AND KID NOT REALLY PLAY IT...
ITS FCK SAD HOW FROM 10-15 YEARS GAME INDUSTRIES DOING DOWN WITH PROFESSIONAL GAMMING EXPIRENCE...YOU GOT THIS SAME WITH GAME PERFORMENCE.. FOR EXAMPLE LAST EDITION OF GPU >> YOU GOT CARD TO SYMULATE A FPS, BUT REALL FPS IS A DIFFREND STATE... AND ANYWAY THIS KIDS BUY A PRODUCT AND PAY $ TO GET IT.. BEACUSE IS BETTER SAY I GOT SERIES 50+ ON GPU.. ONLY BEACUSE LIKE TO SAY IT.... ITS SAD TIMES FOR GAMMING....

It seems some of you are so used to talking to trolls in this forum, you can't identify a legitimate criticism when you see it LOL.
