Why is the update 85GB

Surely this is not right. It's like it's downloading the entire game again. Do these people not know how to release a patch?

I don't know. This is the second time in 2 weeks it says "Updating." and downloads another 80+ GB.

It doesnt downloading 80+ GB.
It downloaded only a few MB, but it need to be implemented well in whole game directory - so there are some changes, overwriting, adding, etc...

it's not 80gb, it patches 80gb of data

After installing all updates and patches your game will not have over 200 GB.

But like mine - it will be 83 GB.

Yeah that's why I can see downloaded 7.33GB of 83.2GB. So the children trying to be clever can suck it. Steam Forums used to be a place people could get help, not just a place for 12 year old edge lords looking for any excuse to insult people.

It's so nice I wish more people would call out dummies in real life so maybe they would educate themselves. It's annoying to have so many helpless people around

Only time I`ve had this happen is when the game is installed to a different location than where the download is installing to.
