Noise of Armour

So I was wondering how exactly does the noise level of armour work? I have a riding cuirass with a 68 noise level, I found a Saxon brigandine which is better in terms of stats and has 60 noise. I have the well fitted perk and repaired both pieces. I get to around 80 noise overall with the cuirss and other armour pieces but the brigandine just pumps up to 100. What is wrong here or am I missing something?

the more noise you have the harder it will be to sneak by or up to someone ... protip just make 3 sets stealth. combat and noble and you will have no problems :)

I have seen the same and not sure if it is a bug or not.

Item with less of a stat will increase the overall of that stat by more. Which makes no sense.

1 for combat full armoured.
2. for charisma / nobble. Can add a chainmail under clothing. Partly armoured.
3. for stealth / focus on the less noise and using only black material. No armour at all.

chainmail instantly makes you super noisy

I sneak around just as easily in full armor. Maybe it's my other perks, but I think stealth needs a retune. I can walk right up behind someone in full armor and stab him in the neck without him ever hearing me approach

Hopefully that will be fixed or at least improved in HC mode if left as it is in vanilla difficulty.

even after 1.2 patch this is still unaddressed. the noise on the saxon brigandine should be lower than a riding cuirass, but once worn it displayed a higher noise level on Henry's overall stats. instead of being 2 lower, it is 12 more.

Brigandine vs cuirasses noise is kinda buggy. I think they only wrote the noise stat as such without changing the actual stats. There's also well fitted perk that reduce noise when you've repaired them. Yet brigandine is supposed to be noisier than cuirass since brigandine consists of a lot of small metal plates weaved into fabric while cuirass is a one piece metal armor
