Not everyone who bought a game plays it 24/7 lol, some might not even have started playing it, others have already finished it. Some have time to play 4 hours each day, others only 4 hours each week.

You get the picture.

16,934 ppl are playing KCD 1 now, the 24h peak was 28,410. Probably quite a few among them who play it because of KCD 2 and want the complete story.

87,176 ppl are playing KCD 2 now with a 24h peak of 134,031.

Also keep in mind that says not so much about total player numbers, its just steam accounts running the game. How many indiviudal players play it would vary strongly with how long their play sessions are, players in different timezones and so on. game sold over 2 million times by now.

LOL, I am 125 hours into the game and far enough into the quests where I feel I can comment on this. For all the "woke" controversy before release, I am finding it completely overblown, and greatly exaggerated. The game gives you a choice what to do with your character like most RPG's before it. You do not have to take that choice you do not like. Those choices when you make them are clearly marked. I am so tired of Politics in games, I just want good entertainment. If I truly did find something I am offended by, I would not buy it, and if I found it in something I did buy, I would know not to buy from that company again. Between KCD1 and KCD2, Warhorse Studio has done me proud.

I'm pretty sure the reason they called it woke was because Vavra et al clearly went back on their word. It was already stated that Henry is straight and that there were no blacks in Bohemia at all. I have yet to encounter Musa, but it has been alleged he is quite the token character as well, I will have to see it to believe it. I don't know that I would call the game woke at this point, but I certainly am disappointed in Vavra and Warhorse for going back on their word.
