BUG: Gules quest against Johnny the Gob

He went to fight me and even though i told him Gules sent me, there was no other talking option. Okay fine. BUT i fought him unarmed to knock him out.It counts him as dead and when hovering over him it says loot, but He standing up holding his stomach like he's wounded and alive.

I know at some point he is supposed to surrender and you can then talk to him and decide if you're going to let him go, but that just doesn't seem to happen in my case.

checked my own save from the mission. it is very obvious that you are supposed to deal with the others and leave him the last one alive in the fight.

please do not present yourself running into a camp full of enemies for a fistfight as the game not taking player agency into account.

Why are you assuming I ran in and went straight to him and just starting swinging fists? LMAO
Everyone else was dead but he wasn't giving up and kept dying so i tried punching and here we are. BUT, it took maybe 5 different reloads and he eventually surrendered,

I had this problem, I wouldn't say i "solved" it, but my solution was to knock him out and remove all of his gear. I think his morale was so high that he viewed death as impossible even though i was beating his ass barehanded. After removing his gear, i fought him again hand to hand, and he folded as any other would.

Same - first stealth killed all but one of his men, then knocked Gob out and took all his gear (including the shield)...then aggro'd his last man who stopped to wake Gob up before I ranged killed the last man and popped a single weak (non-poisoned) arrow into Gob who was running after me in his shorts with his fists raised - did a right cross to Gob's jaw with my mailed fist and Gob was ready to quit the fight.... he even tried giving me his shield that I already had. After I heard his story I knocked him out again just for giggles when he started to leave
