p.s. i see this as positive.
put them in
: Drive C/D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\mods
After that, mods tend to be compressed, so you can extract the files out of the downloaded compressed file.
Once you have extracted these files, make sure that the folder structure is correct. Sometimes extracting a folder from a compressed file will create a folder into which those files are put, creating an extra step that the game can't handle.
The directory to the mod should be:
- .../kingdomcomedeliverance2/Mods/MOD_NAME_HERE
Watch out for:
- .../kingdomcomedeliverance2/Mods/MOD_NAME_HERE/MOD_NAME_HERE
In the correct directory there should be a mod manifest file, and a folder named "Data", which should have a .pak file inside.
Now they should work.
https://kingdomcomerpg.com/en/news/hotfix-1-1-2
- .../kingdomcomedeliverance2/Mods/MOD_NAME_HERE/MOD_NAME_HERE
Didn't notice that all the folders were in an actual seperate folder after extracting, works all fine now.
Edit: and it with also let you know if any of the mods override eachothere (most of the time).
I pushed the Graphics from experimental to insane.
Nice one. Some compression apps do this by default when extracting.
2. Create a "Mods" folder inside of KingdomeComeDeliverence2
3. Is a me thing. I create a folder for the mods on my desktop, throw the packed mod into the folder and unpack it there. (Better to keep track in some cases and might prevent some folder jibber jabber, I´m getting old)
4. Throw the unpacked mod into the "Mods" folder.
The only things that should prevent mods from working are; (Rule of my thumb)
1. Wrong path
2. Outdated mod
3. Conflicting mods, means that more than one mod tries to fiddle with the same stuff.
4. More than one file of the same mod. Mostly mentioned in the decription, don´t pick more than one.
5. Mod needs another mod to work
6. Loadorder
7. Outdated mod loader. (I rarely use them and prefer the manual way, dunno why)
I´m not a modder, but this is how it always worked out for me.
Edit: Big thx to all the modders out there. ;)
Edit: 8. Not meeting the requirements. In case of this game, you might need a perk first, should also be mentioned in the description.
