The Lion's Crest Scribe Gaibl's skill check requirements

Has anyone figured out what the skill check requirements are for Scribe Gaibl; particularly the scholarship requirement? I want to try out that dialogue path, but it seems like the requirement might be too high.

Well, after reading many skill books and completing a few random encounters where I used scholarship to pass a speech check, I found that the requirement for Scribe Gaibl is 15. This is to unlock a different dialogue path in the Brunswick Armor DLC quest.

You can up it with his glasses (if you stoeal them) or glasses you find in a nest nearby (POI spot NE of Troskowitz, very close with a book on a bench).
