Bow is bugged. combat is a survival contest

just took the bow first time near the archery contest area from that kid votrek or smthn
whatever i click or do the frekin bow shoots an arrow on the ground,
the combat gameplay is kindof bad since whne you start fighting wolves you cant equip a weapon whatever you push. it is just stuck on bare hand so i got killed by wolves and the by stray dogs. and took an arrow to the knee by me own bow.
graphics are nice and amazing but you should get closer to skyrim for combat gameplay. i mean even combos arent that impressive graphically. i ll try giving it more tries i guess.

You probably don't have the strength for the bow so it auto-fires because you can't fully draw it.

Exactly.
Two things to add:

1. It's awsome when it autofires as it makes winning archery contests trivial (just prepare the dot at the bullseye in 2 seconds the contest start then hold the mouse button).
2. If you grabbed perks that up your attributes(for example +stats if in wilderness), you will be able to aim when buffs kick in.

well drawing the weapon out of it's sheath is kinda slow and it always cancelled out if you got hit. the point is to look out whether you're about to fight or not. if you need to draw weapon try running away a bit from opponents so they don't hit you and cancel your drawing animation. fighting dogs/wolves are easy different than bandits.. the trick is never hit 1st. for dogs/wolves go for perfectblock then riposte, repeat.

You need to build up your strength first. It is a little annoying, but countered by the fact that it is cool AF that I have to learn/develop to use weapons. Practising feels like practising.

Nah there is still a bug even if you have the perk "Train hard, Fight Easy!" It still does this even though the requirement hasn't been met. Without this perk I don't have enough strength but with this perk I do, yet it still doesn't let me aim anymore and shoots the arrow to the ground.

Yeah that perk is not applying to bows for some reason. You still need the required strength you would need without the perk. It seems to only apply to melee weapons.

You think that bad, I came 5 health away from dying from a hangover.

Was about 8-12 hours after partying with the Cumans, Was at 25 hp when the drunk wore off and the hangover kicked in. I came so damn close to dying from a hangover, and that would have been hilarious.
