Springloaded bird nests

Any advice?
I'm getting tired of looking for bird nests i shoot down that are nowhere near the spot it wasd supposed to land, had hoped Mutt would help find the bird nest but instead he seeks the flowers -_-

It isn't unusual for bird nests in my game to land 8-20 meter from the tree of origin, and with dence bushes thats annoying

Don´t shoot them down. Go crouch mode and throw stones against them. This way they fall straight down. They are still going to roll away on hills though.

Or just ignore them. They are not worth the hassle. I gave up after the third one with just eggs in them.

attempted that but given i rarely use stealth this time around, i forgot about the crouching thanks. couldn't throw while standing

That was just bad luck. Quite often they have sword guards, pommels, lockpicks ect.
