Story quest: Storm... how did you handle it?

Gonna try and keep this as vague as possible when I talk about it, but just in case- this contains spoilers.

How did you guys deal with this quest? There were a lot of sentries. I tried to sneak through all of them, thought maybe there was an achievement? I found it to be not worth the aggravation.

I redid it though afterward, and I had a masterwork Basilard, and with the Gladiator Perk (I think Back Alley Skirmisher also applies?) I basically just followed the nearest path toward the object fast as I could, and attacked anyone I came across instead. Seemed to work pretty well.

I don't think they respawn in that forest, no? There's just a lot of them. A whole lot.....

I just headed south in sneak mode and used a bow and arrows dipped in henries bane poison to quickly deal with those guards who were blocking the way. It was fairly easy this way.

I sneaked through all of them. I didn't get an achievement. I just kept moving and changing places and used bushes. Usually moving in right behind them until I got to another point. It was very fun for me. I didn't kill anyone in the woods. I killed some people in the fortress.

I partly sneaked a bit. But then just pile drived my sword through most of them.. Left a considerable trail of corpses on the way

Seriously though, I always enjoy the challenge of stealth assassination when there's a literal army of people in my way lol.

I just climbed the hills immediately to the right of the starting point and kept moving forward. You can go quite a ways if you find the right small path before having to worry about any guards really but the ones behind you. Bout halfway you wind up on top of the cliffs the AI is walking through and that'll be right across from your goal.
