Is dried meet basically cooked automatically?
I tried to find places for where I would cook, but couldn't see any

You don't need to cook it, it's jerky :)

Dried food is well dried, not cooked.
You can dry them at drying rack or smoke them at smoke houses, cannot be cooked like raw meat.

You can cook at any pot or kitchen stove. You just have to look at the coals and it should say "Cook Food". The perpetual stew pots you have to look down at the actual campfire.

Honestly in my opinion drying the food is better because it preserves it and you don't have to worry about decay.
I don't bother cooking, it spoils too fast, I only use dried food

I think technically you look at the frying pan which is usually near the coals on any camp fire.

dried meat has higher value compared to other types of meat.
