How do I make money?
I’ve got 2.7k and I’m in the second map area, I have tier 3 armor and sword and I’m playing honourably just doing the quests but the most they pay out is 60 or 100 grochens.

How do I even begin to get 6k for a good horse without thieving?

and before sell fix them with kits :)
i make stuff at the smithy, with the perk for extra cash for 90-100% quality blades i make bank selling axes and swords
alchemy brewing is also pretty good way to make money

My trouble is that traders can't afford me :)

Got a mod that doubles their groschen. It helps a bit. I don't want to ruin it completely but come on... 600 groschen as a trader? :)

You can make 1.2k in the very first town every other day by just making pots. Making money in the game is super easy. Second map enemies have plate armour that sells for for pretty much traders cap.
You have to be unwilling to put in any effort to not make money in this game.

i use 5k mod :)
Exactly this, kill bandits, repair the gear and sell it. Steal from chests, people and sell it to millers.. I think there is also a way to sell stolen horses... But I suppose if you go down this route and possible get caught... :DSTskull:
Hmm well I did collect a bunch of bandit armor the problem is the traders limited amount of grochens on hand. Are the kuttenburg traders any richer I haven’t gone there yet until I finish up everything outside of city
Their gold restocks every day. Take it slow and sell some, rest and go back. The main city has enough merchants with enough gold to sell a lot of things in one day. Couple days in town your horse and you are much lighter.
kill bandits and sell the loot or do the tournament over and over again

you could also smith some high value weapons and sell them or brew some high value potions and sell them

I loved that the game kept me poor as a church mouse for the first 10 levels, buying a sleepover at an inn hurt my pursestrings. But the amount of plate armor found on random bandits (expensive helmets especially) eventually lead to having 3k groschen at around level 16. Expensive plate armor should be more rare, or harder to sell to merchants.
Like any other rpg? Sell your loot. I had almost 20k before I got to the second map. Making money is very easy.

Lucky find Perk can give you some cool stuff (Rings , dices, more herbs)
I used that while i leveled survival and alchemy to max before even doing the main quest

alchemy with the right perks and right potions can be quite profitable.
