KCD 2 is holding me hostage
I had so much freedom before the wedding. Hours upon hours of running around, looting, sneaking, doing whatever the hell I wanted. But the second you step into that wedding, the game basically slams the door shut behind you and forces you into a non-stop marathon of main quests. Yeah, sure, it warns you at a certain point, but for ♥♥♥♥’s sake, that was hours ago, and I’m still getting dragged from one forced mission to another.

I just want to sell my loot. I just want to do some thieving. I just want to explore the damn world. But no - every time I think I might get a breather, I’ve got another scripted meetup, another “no time to waste” moment.

I'm at "Speak of the Devil" now and hoping they'll give me a break to stop progressing the main quest soon :(

Huh? You get a free roam time when you have to wait for Capon at Trosky before you headout to Nebokov. You get another one, when you return from the castle. After that you are locked until the second map, you need to do the find the gun quest, then you can free roam again. It gives you multiple instances.
you're very close to another big freedom moment

Good to know!

The second map is not done justice. There are so many towns that will just have like 1 or 2 Side Quests and a few Tasks and the main quest will never interact with these locations. The second half of the Main Quest feeling kind of rushed and game making us want to care for the Devil's Den NPCs when we barely get any kind of side quests with them other than having to rescue them.

Honestly I feel like the Kuttenberg map has been left purposefully empty so that further content can come and fill it up along with open more of the houses in the main city.

Nope, if you happen to ask Kybyenka about his gang, when you have arrived at the Devils Den, you (unknowingly) start a TIMED quest, and whatever freedom you had is gone again.
So much for freedom, stay hostage on the railroad train or GAME OVER..

I've had that quest for a LONG time now, are you sure it's timed?

Can confirm once "Speak of the Devil" is done free roam is back!

Once you interact with either Matthew or Janosh in Miskowitz in either way, and you do not return to the Devils Den after that , but instead ride on to Kuttenberg, you will recieve the dreaded Game Over screen when you wake up in Kuttenberg hotel a few days later .
So much for the "free roaming" as I did in Kuttenberg and pittoresk
surroundings.

Message being: "'you did not save/cure the innocent man in Miskowitz, Hans Capon died."

I'm completely softlocked at this momentof the game, I need to get back to Capon in the evening at trosky castle after torturing the guy in the room and debriefing, but it's impossible to pass the time quickly, or sleep in a bed to save or travel quickly.

And it's as if time is blocked, it doesn't flow automatically, my game has been running for 4 hours and the time remains the same.

I've tried to go back to the moment when the bug occurs, which is the moment when you leave for the wedding in Semine and the moment when you arrive at the castle as a prisoner.

You can't pass the time or sleep at the wedding, which seems logical, but the right to do all that after arriving at the castle is lost.
