You can still be that in KCD2, the story is mainly written with this very idea in mind. There are just optional path in the RPG which allow you to play in other directions. The choice is up to you.
Its not really an RPG per say. Its an Action Adventure.
I agree that users are overreacting and having the MC playersexual is a industry standard since forever..
But we can´t make choices.. the story is set 100%.. our actions can´t change the shape and story of Bohemia after all. In a real RPG, I would have agency to change both my own path and the worlds.
