Not to detract for Optiscaler though, it is amazing work that the author has done there.
It just shouldn't be needed for this game though.
Also, sometimes (now with Optiscaler installed) when launching the game, it just crashes title screen or shortly after loading in to the game. Just freezes.
Are you using the nightly version?
The regular release doesn't support FSR4. Also the compatibility list for the regular version also shows KCD2 not working (as expected). You were probably looking at that list.
KCD2 has been verified working in the nightly builds for a couple days now, and also listed as such in specific FSR4 compatibility list (not the regular one)
If its listed as working, please point me to a step by step on how to reliably enable it?
Also, now that the game is patched to 1.2.... runs about 30-60seconds and freezes/crashes. So guess we should just wait until all these people get their ♥♥♥♥ together.
So I already used optiscaler for fsr4 in cyberpunk and I had the instruction from someone on reddit:
Here instructions:
This only works for the new 9000 series.
You need to download optiscaler nightly build:
1, Download the OptiScaler_v0.7.7-pre7_20250309.7z
2, Unpack all files into your cyberpunk installation to this directory. (im using GOG launcher)
GAME INSTALL PATH\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64
After that, navigate to C:\Windows\system32
Find the following file: amdxcffx64.dll
Copy that file to the same directory as above
Once that is done, run "optiscaler setup.bat"
select number 1, then AMD and you should be done
Now go to Optiscaler.ini open it and search for Dx12Upscaler=auto and change it for Dx12Upscaler=fsr31 and save
once you loaded the game, select FSR 3 in the game settings, load into the game.
Press the "Insert" key on your keyboard and you should see the optiscaler menu. Now select FSR 3.x in the top drop down menu ( usually defaults to XeSS but we changed it for fsr 3, just be sure that is selected. )
Then make sure FSR 4 is selected in the drop down list under "FSR settings," if not then select FSR 3.x in the top drop-down menu and save the configuration.

For KCD2 the path was almost the same as for Cyberpunk but for me it was inside of
"KingdomComeDeliverance2\Bin\Win64Shared".
I got it working in KCD2 and I am playing it first time today but i have a pretty stable 70 fps with ultra settings, fsr4 quality and 3440x1440 resolution.
I also checked optiscaler ingame to make sure that its really using fsr4.
I don't have that Fidewlity FX SuperResolution like you do in your screenshot :( and have RX 9070 XT with fresh drivers :/ any hint? :-(
I don't have "amdxcffx64.dll" in system32, just amdxc64.dll ... will it work? :-O
You don't have to copy this 'amdxcffx64.dll' when using the newest nightly builds. It should autodetect the location of the file and allow you to select fsr4.0.0.
