I have completed all the quests in the mission up until I have to put on the outfit from the chest then leave for the court. Once I put the outfit on, and go try to talk to Godwin, he just keeps saying, " You're my escort, you better look the part." I have even replayed the whole mission with no luck. Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the same issue, so I fiddled around with the equipment, and after equipping my previous piece of arms armor, Godwin suddenly considered me to be dressed suitably. lol So yes I think the game forgets to auto-equip you with that piece when you dress up at the chest.
