Report a translation problem
To be safe, you probably can’t do any quests that involve killing wolves. That means no getting Mutt back.
It sounds like such a pain to get that if you want the achievement but don’t want to work for it, you can download a save file for it on the Nexus.
So technically you just need to run.
And honestly, achievement hunting is a personal goal. So I don't think there is much personal satisfaction of getting an achievement using someone's else save.
If you punch a animal to death it doesn't seem to count (I tested it with a cow and it still showed 0 animal kills).
But the best method is to use bane potion, because if the animal dies from the poison it doesn't count that you've killed it.
This way I got Mutt back and still got 0 animal kills.
The kills of your dog will also not count, so getting him back can save you trouble if you have to fight wolfes unprepared.
Unconscious animals are basically not killed.
Now, butchering an uncounscious animal weirdly does not count as kill.
