I should be able to help the guards catch the troublemakers BEFORE they burn someone’s house down during the Spark quest for the thieves guild.

As is, there doesn’t appear to be a way to catch Goliath red-handed without blowing up the mine, which kind of defeats the purpose of being a double agent.

After Sigismund leaves, following through with blowing the mine probably stands to anger Henry’s allies, so when the guards showed up and said “stop in the name of king Wenceslaus” I was like oh crap I messed up so decided to try to turn them in. But the process of turning them in is less intuitive than you’d think.

If my only option is to run away with the barrel and speak to the kuttenburg bailiff, okay that’s fine and all, but it’s not realistic for the bailiff to not help you round up the troublemakers before some poor miner loses his house for a distraction.

Nah you need to follow Goliath and kill him. Or just run off.
You can't prevent them from starting the fire.

PS: Make sure to throw the powder keg into the fire where the quest sort of starts afterwards ;p
