Who cares about the barber update?
I use one on RDR2 and i keep the same looking to now, after a found one i like i never change it again, is nice to have that choice. but i like my Henry the way he was in the first game.
A straight serial killer!

It's far from a game maker/game breaker thing for me, but it's certainly nice to have. I'm basically the same way, once I find a look I like I tend to stick with it and don't experiment much.

If beard changes with time pass, ok togo to barber, otherwise, useless
I do. Henry has been getting mogged everywhere he goes. Fresh faced Henry needs to stop looking like a little boy and grow some scruff.
I'm glad we'll have that option again. Beards matter.
I don’t. It’s a first person game where you see yourself only in cutscenes.
But I’ll use it.

In the first game I took the "Undercut" and the "Moustache" mostly.
Sometime I took the "Cuman Haircut" and the "Woodcutter".

Let's see what for new fancy styles will be published.

In this game Heinrich looks like an adult man and not like the teenager he was in the first game. It is much better.

We already have beard mods and mods that can allow the rain to clean you overtime so making a beard grow is also possible with mods. We need the game fixed first before talking about new features.

I am currently working on a few mod projects, already have a few mods released and also testing mods for fellow modders. So yes, its frustrating seeing such silly discussions.
Ah ok, it’s the chip on your shoulder then. Did you read the post they made about the upcoming patch? Adding the barber feature that was promised, and “34 pages of patch notes” worth of bug fixes.
Not really but I did use the feature in the first game.

The 6 months worth of polish coming with the same update on the other hand.

It's a nice update and will make some people happy, but I'm more interested in seeing new gameplay mechanics, features, and equipment that will likely come via the DLCs. "Brushes with Death" being about helping an "enigmatic artist" sounds interesting, but what might it add? "Legacy of the Forge" sounds far more appealing.

Itll be a nice feature but the thousands of bug fixes which I didnt even experience and the buff of other weapons to make them viable is more important to me.
I hope they have an option to turn it off. I have an imagination. I assume Henry is getting shaves at the baths or at least running his knife blade against his face every morning to keep it at a stubble. I don't want to play a SIMS game. Because what is next? are we going to have to take him to the outhouse too?

I mean I am all for options and if this is something other people enjoy...then great. Just let there be a way to opt out.

Indeed, watched the livestream as well as reviewed all the patch notes. We will then need to go back over all reported bugs to see which ones still need to be fixed and what new ones may appear.
I have ran many modded game servers over the years for a few Steam games and one of the hardest things is trying to build your code around a shaky foundation. So even after the patch, tons more testing will be needed with not just the vanilla game but mods already released and improve them to reflect the games updates. We need to stay vigilant with keeping an updated and active list of current bugs.

I’m kind of meh. It’s a first person game and Henry has most of his face covered up with armor. What I would REALLY like is “invisible” helmets especially for the cut scenes then the barber feature would be better.

I don't have the game yet but wouldn't it be possible to be able to alter your look to avoid being caught if you stole something perhaps? Or is that just not feasible? Just thinking out loud as a potential mechanic they could add.

The forge is something I’m really looking forward to, I like the forging mechanic in the game right now but it’s pretty bare bones. Some more variety in the weapon crafting, maybe even armor crafting? I know there’s tier 4 armor in the game files that are normally inaccessible right now, so I’m hoping for that.
