Constant Crashing after Upgrading 9070 XT
I upgraded my old 3070 to a 9070 XT and now it crashes everytime i try to play it and open up a menu. Probably a driver update, just gotta wait, but want to see how many other people are dealing with this.

nVidia to AMD without complete windows reinstall = yes, you need to check what's happening with your graphics drivers
run dxdiag in windows it will show any issues with the hardware,
is it fully seated ? is the power cable fully seated?
is your power supply in good working order and above the min for the 9070 ?
25.3.1 is the current driver and it works really well with the game
if everything checks out re-install the driver . do a factory reset to start , if you have a profile for the game delete it .
and definately clear the shader cache in steam , it's going to be for nvidia you want that gone
Same here. Went from 2060super to 9070xt. Did a clean wipe with DDU, and it played the game several hours before I started trying out upscaling. Now it crashes whatever I do. All settings back to default, no upscaling, no overclocking.
oh and verify the games files so the games config gets rebuilt with the 9070 as the gpu
I've reinstalled the entire game.
Delete your DirectX Shadercache....DDU all Nvidia drivers stuff from your machine and install the latest AMD driver. This would by my path to go...
Yea, I deleted the shadercache as well. I've been playing Senua Hellblade 2 for several hours, and CP2077 as well. No issues. This game crashes. Strange since I did play it with current drivers for several hours already.
mods ?
Same from 7800xt to 9070 xt with amd unistaller in safe mode, I not played this game in 7800xt I bought later but this the only game with problems, crash after a few minuts every time
Typical AMD experience, there is a reason its much cheaper than nvidia. You will have constant driver issues with AMD despite what the fanboys claim. I had a 6950 xt for two years and I will never buy AMD again. So glad to be back to nvidia.

:-D Thank you...I read it and was wondering if I should start the fanboy war or let them die in vain :-D

So as you have started: That's what you get for buying an AMD graphics card :-D

UPDATE, since disabled Antialising, Motion blur, Near DOF & Sharpness to full (but I don't know if this affect, I played always without Scaling) the crashes disappear. The last 20 minutes I enable full antialising again without problems too
Make sure your not forcing fsr 4 through the amd software might be a place too look too.
This is a driver timeout issue. You can fix it by setting TdrDelay to 10 in your registry.

Example of how to set TdrDelay: https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1xzzn4/tdrdelay_10_fixed_my_crashes_since_last_patch/

Edit: This fixed the timeout crashes for me, but I still have crashes when alt-tabbing out of the game. Not sure what that is about.

i had this same problem. Upgraded from an RTX 3080 to a 9070 XT. Constant crashing on KCD2, but Cyberpunk had no issues. I decided to do a fresh install of Windows, and that appears to have solved the issue. Even running DDU did not suffice, but a fresh install of Windows after switching from Nvidia to AMD should clear up this issue.
