[Spoiler] Italian Courtyard - Silver Mint Key Mission - maybe bug?

I never ratted out the Silver Mint new master. Yet when the mission to locate the key to the Italian Courtyard kicked in, the game strangely flagged me as a snitch! Also, the new mint master that was supposed to be MY FRIEND, Christian of Pisek tried to killed me because I ratted him? Has anyone else encountered this bizarre glitch? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any workarounds... Because I never snitch on him stealing 10% of the king's silver...

So, I experienced this myself, and it comes down to the confrontation with Vavak at the Ruthard palace. When you accuse him, you can either say "You were stealing silver" or "You have a secret mint", the second one apparently is too much information in the public and Christian has to go on the run. I agree that it wasn't explained very well.

If you just call him out for stealing silver, Christian is still your bud and he'll help you during the Italian Court job.
