Controller has stopped working

Hey guys hope you are all doing good, came to try to play the game today and my controller just isn't working. ive not really encountered any issues previously with this ( other than the ♥♥♥♥♥ with local hero, in other words, don't get the perk its literally broken, stutters the game like crazy) previously ive had to close the game turn off/on/off/on/off steam input multiple times then the game works fine. Now, nothing. i know its not the wireless connection because that's worked previously and it works fine on other games.

any suggestions?

if you have a usb cable, try plugging your controller to your pc that way. Bluray tech has never really been stable even to this day.

I use Xbox One X wireless controller with Bluetooth connection, zero issues.
You never mentioned what kind of controller you use but if i’s Xbox, disable Steam input, it’s completely unnecessary in games that natively support controllers and sometimes can cause issues if enabled. My Steam input is Off globally and I have never had controller issues.

The controller is a new series X controller, I have just tried wired once again both times with steam input on and off and both times it didn't work, i am just going to have to wait for it to get patched aren't i?

it is a shame because i loved the first one, had no issues, but so far as much as i love this game, i am having a different issue each time i boot the game

Should be something with your setup, I don’t see people complaining about similar issues.
Maybe try updating your firmware with Xbox Accessories app ?
Once again, you don’t need Steam input for games that support controllers natively.

Yeah was working fine for me ever since release, then I stopped a few days to play MH Wilds. Come back today to this game and all of a sudden my Xbox Controller is not working specifically for this game. Its crazy, 115 hrs in the game and all of a sudden its not working with the controller.

I switched to a 3rd party controller and haven't a problem since, the issue seems to be with the x box controller.
