Never played the original if I'm being honest but KCD2 feels quite refined.
I tried to play KCD1, but it's a little hard to get into it after playing KCD2 first. I think I'll eventually get into it. I just have to reset my expectations on an older game. I always have that problem when I do something like that.
I am looking forward to more from Warhorse, whatever it might be.
You can get KCD1 very cheaply now and I highly recommend it.
Honestly, I cannot recommend KCD1 highly enough.
Probably best not to play the two games at the same time because there are some differences in the mechanics that might lead to confusion, but if you love KCD2, I urge you to play it afterwards.
I really think it has stood the test of time, when you get immersed in it you will forget that it's an 'old' game, it's absolutely beautiful.
Make sure to get all the DLC, it's a bit variable but all worth having and I imagine it's cheap as chips nowadays.
You will get so much backstory for KCD2, when your done with KCD1 you will probably want to play KCD2 again.
I remember when I first started playing as Theresa in 'A woman's lot', I didn't like it and went back to an earlier save to be Henry again- but I went back to it and in the end really enjoyed it, gave me a lot more respect for, and understanding of her and again, lot's of backstory.
I have also never been so emotionally involved and affected by anything in a game like I was by 'The Madonna of Sassau' quest line.
I don't want to give spoilers but the first time I played this, I had a 'suboptimal' outcome and my Henry walked to the bridge and just stood, in shock, staring into the distance.
At that moment, I WAS Henry, almost in tears. I had worked so hard and failed and wanted to kill and destroy everything in that town.
After about 10 minutes of real time I carried on but my heart was broken.
I understand that English is not your first language so you have misunderstood me.
"I cannot recommend xyz highly enough" means that no matter how highly I recommended it, it would not be enough.
So that means that I recommend it very highly indeed, which I think is clear from the rest of my post.
All the best to you and your wife!
I'm guzzling some delicious wine :D
Yes indeed, and all the better for having conversed with you my friend!
Cracking studio and they have my full support.
