Why is everyone so mean to Pebbles???!
She's not a nag. Just can't help it if the humidity is simply wrecking her normally elegant mane... #PeasantsBeHatin

I agree, in fact my last game in KCD 1, i don't seek best horse, I just get Pebble all the way to end of game before I move on to KCD 2.
But why? It's a sh1ttiest horse in the game, only Rocinante is worse. But if you kill one more bandit, you could buy Kelpie before Pebbles would be granted to Jindro (which I did in 3 of 4 my playthroughs).

Details about additional horse perk:
"Players loyal to Pebbles can unlock the perk by riding her for over 35km, enhancing her speed, stamina, and value. Herring, which is a horse that can be obtained at Trosky Castle, also has a secret stat-increasing perk, but players must ride the horse for over 50km"

Also, there are mods that work off of that perk which can add additional buffs. So its actually the best horse.

I suppose, it's like that you owner of company, you had worker doing faithful all year but not doing very well due health issues, would you fire that worker and get better worker? I guess it's compassion, be satisfied with what you had even it's not best.
Em, but how does it match with "you had worker doing faithful all year" part of your metaphor, if Jindro never rode Pebbles or strictly to the Neuhoff stad farm?

It's just more humble fun, and it's great for someone who want to play harder game, like play underpower (no I do not want game harder, it's had to do with roleplaying humble stuff, compassion with less perfect horse.

But I guess humankind mostly want best of best, always seek best to replaced with less perfect stuff.
I completely agree with you - I've never traded Kelpie until the Prubyslavitsa studfarm was built, so Jindro would control who is able to ride that old friend of his. And if there was a possibility in the game - never sold her at all. But Pebbles is not a mandatory horse in the KCD1 - just a property foisted on.

I'm sorry, good sir, but you should try reading my comment and the comment I've answered to properly.
There's no such perk in KCD1.

I suggested it, but still don't understand why. What character would utilize the horse that was foisted on him?

Very well thought out answer. There are so many beautiful horses in the game but then I remember how happy I was when I got Pebbles in the first KCD. She is special because of the memories.

Give Pebbles a bath. A bloody looking horse makes it look less valuable. Not to mention, check if the gear Pebbles has on is damaged.

Worse discarded horse in KCD1 that is given to Henry because "it's useless" and Henry has no horse. Pebbles' in fact a nag, borderline Donkey in KCD1 - in KCD2 they shoehorned her as starting horse even though the vast majority of the player base used Warhorse Jenda (named after one of the developer's dog), or one of the three from "From the Ashes" DLC.

The only reason Pebbles has any relevance is the arbitrary hidden perk they introduced with her and the fact there are no former "Tier 4" horses readly available on neither regions (for sale or named otherwise) - and tbf I have tested the Herring (von Bergow's gift horse) with the perk and Pebbles seems to do a much better job given we have now cheat-perks for racing (quick start) and horse speed's borderline the same across the board (horse speed is harshly nerfed in KCD2).

The "hate" I have are 2 (peeves with it): fact that such a decision over Pebbles demonstrates disregard towards community preferences, and that the Pebble's mane is truly ugly. I'd be happy with Jenda being ported, but Pebbles' a stretch too far, nobody who played KCD1 properly finished it with Pebbles.

Yeah, just finished my first play-through never owning another horse other than Pebbles. For a long time now, people are saying the horse must have cost a fortune.

A noble loyal beast.
Ride pebbles for 35km(manually, no fast travel) and then your horse will become the best horse in game.

Can confirm, the Good Pebbles perk is pretty epic. Wish it gave more courage though. At least the peasantry now give due recognition to Pebbles' voluptuous hindquarters as we pass... #DeySeeUsTrottin #FinallyNotHatin
