TOMCAT and Master strike.
Nub question.
I have beaten him twice in a duel using the poison method and fought him several times earlier in the game and lost.

I thought you only had to beat him once to be able to master strike but I dont think I have activated it yet, does it show up anywhere.

Do you have to complete the training with him before beating him unlocks MS ?

If I remember correctly, you do the combo training, then you fight him, then he teaches you it.

Yeah he says you need to challenge him to earn the right to learn it or something.

Ahh right ty
yeah I have defeating him twice with real weapons, but didnt get MS - I just cant finish training cause parently Im not able to do the combo with 4 strikes, the game wont let me make the 4th :o(
any halp are welcome
The game doesn't tell you how it works.

first attack up

Here is the tricky part...after attacking up your sword automatically moves to the left. You must move it back to the right before clicking. Note the directional indicator turns red before your sword is all the way to the right.

After attacking from the right, your sword is automatically to the left again...so at this point spam the attack button.

After you do it, you get an info window that says pretty much exactly this.

Here it is, the tutorial, HILARIOUSLY explains this in Text AFTER doing the combo.

I spent a few hours trying to figure it out.

Up + Attack, Right + Attack, Attack (no direction) (FAST)

This gets a lot of people, what the audio says to do isn't what's needed, even after knowing it the "fast" can still not register.

Ahh right... Back to sort the bugger out thx people :)

Following these instructions worked especially the bits on how to complete the training with him. Also don't forget you have to challenge him to a duel not just a fight to get the MS.
