Why Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Needs More Diverse Characters
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about how Kingdom Come: Deliverance was praised for its “historical accuracy,” but let’s be real—there’s a glaring omission that KCD2 absolutely needs to address: the inclusion of Black people, LGBT representation, and more diverse characters overall.

I know some of you are going to jump on the “But it’s medieval Bohemia!” excuse, but let’s not act like trade routes, migration, and the diversity of human experiences didn’t exist back then. Black people lived in Europe during medieval times. Queer people existed—spoiler alert: they’ve existed forever. Why is it so hard to imagine that a game could reflect that? Historical fiction is still fiction, so why not make it more inclusive?

Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a complex LGBTQ+ knight struggling with their identity while upholding a moral code? Or a trader from Africa navigating prejudice in a foreign land while still being a total badass? This would add more depth and replayability to the game, and we all know it.

Before you say, “This would ruin the immersion!” just remember that the first game let you eat soup from a pot without a spoon and sprint across half of Bohemia without needing a water break. Historical accuracy is flexible when it suits your sword-swinging fantasies, huh?

Including diverse characters would make KCD2 a richer, more compelling world that appeals to a wider audience. It's 2024—games should evolve just like everything else. If anything, not including diversity at this point is historically inaccurate for a game set in a world full of trade, travelers, and, you know, actual humans.

A very elaborate bait but still too obvious.

It is going to be more diverse than the first game. The devs have said that, and they have showed that on streams and videos, check it out! Plus so far we know two of the three LGBT characters will be returning from the last game (Istvan Toth and Erik). You don’t need to worry :)

Daily reminder that diversity is satanism.

This post is extremely offensive. It offends my race, gender, sexuality and religion. Reported for terrorism.

To the OP Troll:
Hold your own identity billboard and don't ask others to do it for you. Don't ask others to hold identity billboards for anyone else, either.

Better yet, put that identity waving away and do something worthy of pride and respect. There's no pride in yelling at people who already accepted us and demanding they bend over backwards for us. You deserve shame.

You can have your DEI and LGBTQ in some other games like Avowed which is by the way a game that has the same level of nonsense of which you have written also maybe assassins creed shadows too . Go away you clown and leave this Gaming Community alone.

If anyone wants to give me the jester points instead of OP I'd be happy to take them instead of giving them to an obvious jester baiter

Bait. Every game has a different target audience. You do not want actual lgbt inclusion in a historical simulation game as you will get to see them burned alive for crimes against nature. They were seen as worse than plague rats.
