Yeah, I don't understand why they would do that - KCD1's Hardcore mode seemed like it was the Dev's intended way to play the game, whereas if HC comes out after KCD2's release, feels like HC is now an 'after-thought'.
Balancing the economy/damage/loot ect is one of the last things devs do in development of an RPG and hardcore mode is for the most part a rebalance. They'll likely want to see how people do with the game before doing that rebalance. That will save them having to re balance 2 things after launch,
They've also said they don't want to just do what they did before so I'd be expecting them to take some steps forward with the mode when it does launch.
Shrubs and bushes are now non-clippable in KCD II. Thank Lord.
