Sigismund's sausage

How can I preserve Sigismund's sausage? I received it as part of a quest and I'm wondering how to do it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in the smokehouse; I can't select it there. Is that even possible?

Is "sausage" a reference to a part of his anatomy or are we talking actual sausage? I don't think I've seen that quest.

Actual sausage as in ground meat inside of a casing. There is a quest to steal Sigismund's sausage and give most of it to the beggars. I still had like 20 of them left over when I finished the quest.

I'm not sure if you can preserve it, I just used it for dog food.

Yeah Mutt will eat it no matter how rotten it gets.
Just curious what quest were you on that this was part of? I don't think I got that on my first two playthroughs. I might look out for it on this one.

I know that I got the quest from Chenyek at the Hole in the Wall.

That makes sense. I kept ignoring those characters at that point in the game thinking I'd get back there but never did. Thanks.

Yes, that's King Wenceslas's guild quest. Steal Sigismund's food and distribute it to the poor beggars in Kutná Hora. You get the quest near the Rat Hole tavern. Oh, is that so I can sell my spoiled food to the poor dog? Poor dog ^^
