However, after playing BG3, where you have the possibility of diametrically opposed endings (and despite its much, much smaller map), I am worried about buying the new version for exactly the reason you state.
It is not KCD2 - which I really like - that has put me in that state of mind. Indeed, I have often found myself wondering why I can't throw my lot in with Sigismund. :)
I'm playing this play through using Speech craft and Persuasion and I'm having a blast. Somewhere a long the way I got turned into a vampire, and trying to get that cured has been some great role playing and lots of fun.
Every time I go into the sun I start smoking and die in about 30 seconds. I'm not using any outside source for help and Oblivion is a great role playing experience.
I'll definitely be playing KCD at some point, but Oblivion is so much better now!
Yeah the open dead world, the open world where there is nothing other than dogs, wolves and the odd goblin, lmao, the game world is as dead as it was back then, you need to go through a loadscreen door to load up anything different, and then inside you just find enemies standing in place like OLD games used to be forced to do.
Todd should be running in fear of Warhorse
I dont think anyone's spitting, ofc stuff like the OG Elder Scrolls games paved the way, no one's denying that.
Today remaster is even a bigger disappointment since it failed to be faithful to the original, and at the same time failed to fix issues Oblivion had.
Also even the idea of remastering an old game is obvious cashgrab bs.
Wrong on both accounts. The original and remake are pretty good games. Honestly, Morrowind is a mindless slog. It no aim, no direction. It's not a fun game to play. Oblivion is a HUGE improvement on it. But then, I'm not clouded by nostalgia like most Morrowind fans.
